Despacito, a song by Puerto Rican singer Luis Fonsi with Daddy Yankee was released in the year 2017. It became the most one music streamed at the in just six months. The song was a mix of pop and reggaeton that not only brought new attention to reggaeton, but increased interest in Latin music. In 2015 there were two predominantly Spanish-language songs in the Billboard Top 100 and in 2016 there were four. At the peak of Despacito's fame, 19 tracks mainly in Spanish made it to the Top 100. By 2020, there will be 41 songs from this genre. Following the time that Justin Bieber released his bilingual remix of Despacito in 2017, popular artists began to collaborate with reggaeton artists. Drake and Bad Bunny have collaborated to record MIA (2018), while Madonna and Maluma were on the same track in Medellin in the year 2019. In the year 2020, a handful of reggaeton artists were expressing displeasure at the genre's direction toward the mainstream. But a fresh generation, specifically Rauw Alejandro wanted to continue the evolution of reggaeton. He often included elements from electronic dance and other genres.
